Which languages and courses does Bonnlingua offer?
At Bonnlingua in Bonn, you can choose from various languages and course formats: intensive courses, super-intensive courses, evening courses, online courses and private lessons. For companies, we design industry-specific company courses. Thanks to modern technology, hybrid lessons are also possible – you decide whether to take part live from home or on site.
When are you open?

Where can I find the Bonnlingua language school?
Our address: Am Neutor 2-2a, 53113 Bonn – centrally located, just a few minutes from the main station. Get directions.
Is a lesson the same length as a school lesson?
Yes, as at school, one lesson with us lasts 45 minutes.
What types of course are there?
The intensive courses take place in the morning, the super-intensive courses in the afternoon and the evening courses in the evening, Monday to Friday. We also offer private lessons and company courses.
Teachers & quality
Lessons & certificates
What qualifications do the teachers have?
Lessons are taught exclusively by qualified native speakers with a university degree – for the German courses, with a degree in German studies or German as a foreign language. They are experienced, friendly teachers.
What makes the language school stand out?
We are an officially recognised telc exam centre – you can take telc exams with us regularly. At the end of each course, you also receive a recognised language certificate based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
How many participants are there in a course?
Our courses take place in small groups – which is particularly beneficial for your learning success.
Which countries do the participants come from?
Our participants come from all over the world – many from Europe, but also from Latin America, Asia, Africa, Australia and the USA. The average age is between 18 and 30.
Which books do you use?
For A1–B1 we use “Begegnungen”, for the B and C levels “Erkundungen” (Schubert Verlag). In addition, you will receive photocopies from telc books with exercises and mock tests. Your teacher will tell you the exact book on the first day of class.

Before the course
Can I try out the language school first?
Yes – for our group courses, you can arrange a free, no-obligation trial lesson. Just get in touch with us. One-to-one lessons are not included in this offer: they are always charged at the regular rate.
What is included in the price?
The price includes the language course, copies and our own course materials, an exam based on the CEFR and a language certificate. If you would also like to take a telc exam, this costs extra – you can find the dates here.
How long does it take to complete one level?
In the morning intensive course (20 lessons/week), you complete one level in 8 weeks. Super-intensive and evening courses take 6 weeks per level.
